Welcome to ePrescribe with NewCrop! This get-started guide will walk you through getting your practice set up with NewCrop, registering staff and prescribers, and finally using NewCrop to create prescriptions and electronically transmit them to your clients' pharmacies.
You can use this guide if you are brand new to ePrescribing with NewCrop and onboarding your entire practice, or if you are already using NewCrop and just need to set up a new prescriber or staff member.
NewCrop onboarding is a three-phase process:
- Phase One: Complete Staff, Location and Setting Modules in Procentive.
- Phase Two: Register Staff and Prescribers
- Phase Three: Begin ePrescribing with NewCrop!
Click on the section headers below to learn more about what happens during each phase. Each section includes links to articles with step-by-step instructions on how to complete each part of the process.
Phase One: Set Up Staff, Location, and Setting Modules
If you are interested in adding ePrescribe with NewCrop to your agency, please Create a Ticket with Procentive Support. Once you receive confirmation that your practice is set up for ePrescribe with NewCrop, a Procentive Champion at your organization will need to set up staff, location, and settings modules in Procentive.
NOTE: If your practice is already using NewCrop and you just need to add a new staff member or prescriber, you only need to set them up using the staff module. You do not need to change anything in the location or setting modules.

Phase Two: Register Staff and Prescribers
NewCrop registration depends on individual roles and prescribing needs. Prescribers will also complete an identity-proofing process.
- Nurses and Non-Prescribing Office Staff: Sign up for eRx as an Admin/Nurse
- Prescribers who are NOT prescribing controlled substances: Sign up for eRx Only
- Prescribers who are prescribing controlled substances (EPCS Prescribers):
NOTE: Prescribers completing EPCS registration will need their EPCS rights granted by an EPCS administrator during Part 3 of their EPCS registration process. Anyone in your practice can be set up as an EPCS administrator, but prescribers can not grant their own EPCS rights.
- EPCS Administrators:
NOTE: Staff and Prescribers working at practices with multiple locations also need to complete NewCrop Location Alignment. This is to enable prescribing at all practice locations, and only needs to be completed once.
NOTE: Review a list of Common Registration Errors and Solutions.
Phase Three: Best Practices when Prescribing and Managing Clients
Once you are registered with NewCrop, you can begin ePrescribing immediately! These role-specific articles contain links to step-by-step guides for some of the most common workflows for prescribers, nurses and office staff.
