Overview
This article will walk you through how to add Authorization Types and Statues to the Clients Module > Payers tab > Authorizations subtab.
Permission to add types and statuses
A Champion will need to give these permissions to the role that will be creating & editing authorizations types & statuses by following these steps.
- Go to the Staff Module.
- Double click on any staff profile to open.
- Click on the Role tab.
- Click Edit Roles.
- Highlight the role you want to add this permission to.
- Enter authorization in the search for permissions field.
- Check the box in front of Ability to edit authorizations statuses & Ability to edit authorization types.
- Click Change Role.
Adding Authorizations Types & Statuses
- Go to the Clients Module.
- Double click on any client to open their profile.
- Click the Payers tab > Authorizations subtab.
- Click the change authorization types link.
- Enter a name for the type > click Add.
- Repeat step 5 for each type you want to add.
- X out of the window when finished.
- Click the change authorization statuses link.
- Enter a name for the type > click Add.
- Repeat step 9 for each status you want to add.
- X out of the window when finished.
- Click Cancel.
- Double click on the client to open their profile > Payers tab > Authorizations subtab. You will now see columns for Types & Status.
