Learn which permissions to assign to give staff access to the Messaging Module.
Edit the Staff Role
In order to assign these permissions, you will need to edit each of the applicable staff roles. If you are not familiar with editing staff roles, please review this support article prior to completing the steps below: Change Permissions (Edit a Role).
Where to Find Messaging Permissions
- Go to the Staff Module.
- Double click on a staff line (where it is not a blue link).
- The Change Staff window will open.
- Go to the Role Tab.
- To the right of the Role field at the top, click on the blue Edit Roles link.
- The Roles window will open.
- The Roles window will open.
- Highlight the role (on the left) you want to change.
- The name field at the top will reflect the chosen role.
- In the section search for modules: enter mess
- This will search by module and the results will appear in the middle window.
- Click the checkbox to select/de-select each permission that applies to the chosen staff role.
- Messaging Module: Allows staff to see the Messaging Module, reply to messages, and archive a message.
- Add: Allows staff to use the Add button in the Messaging module to compose and send new messages.
- Delete: Allows staff to delete a message from the Messaging module.
- Direct Messaging: Allows staff to send messages to outside registered providers.
- Click Change Role.
- If additional roles need to be changed, repeat Steps 5, 6 and 7.
- When all roles have been changed, close the window.
- In order for each staff to see these new permissions, they will need to log off and back into Procentive.
NOTE: If after making these permission changes, staff still not see the Messaging Module appear in their list of modules, please send a ticket to Procentive Support to resolve.
