When allergies and medications are entered into NewCrop, they are checked against a drug database. Most of the time, the system will codify allergies and medications automatically. However, if the system is unable to find a code match in the database, allergies and medications need to be mapped manually. Mapping is important, because free-text medications and allergies are not recognized in system checks for reactions and interactions during the prescription process.
